What is a bypass HEPA air cleaner?
What it is: A bypass HEPA air cleaner is a separate unit connected to your ductwork. It pulls a portion of the system’s air through a HEPA filter and sends it back into the ducts.
How it’s designed to work: HEPA filters are very dense. Drop one into the main airflow of a typical home system and the blower would struggle to push air through it, like breathing through a pillow.
