General Electric

Gold Eagle is a GE Elite Dealer for GE Appliances heating and cooling equipment, and GE systems we install come with a 12-year limited parts warranty.

If you are weighing GE against the other brands on this page, ask us where it fits for your house; we install it and we service the rest.

About GE
The American Standard name appears in bold blue cursive, with a sweeping capital A and a small dot above the final letters.

American Standard

Gold Eagle is an authorized American Standard dealer. American Standard builds high-efficiency central systems meant to run quietly and hold up in demanding climates, and five months of Austin cooling season qualifies.

About American Standard
A bold red Honeywell wordmark spans the image, with a prominent capital H and smooth, rounded lowercase letters in a heavy typeface.

Honeywell

Honeywell makes thermostats, zoning systems and air quality products. What you buy with Honeywell is control: a good thermostat or zoning setup holds temperature and humidity where you set them, which also helps the system run efficiently.

About Honeywell
A dark blue, italic AprilAire wordmark stretches across a white field, with a small registered trademark symbol beside the final letter.

AprilAire

AprilAire makes whole-home dehumidifiers, air purifiers and ventilation systems. In a humid Austin house, whole-home dehumidifiers pull out the moisture the AC leaves behind, and better filtration keeps dust off the coil and out of the ducts.

Mitsubishi Electric

Mitsubishi Electric makes ductless and variable refrigerant heating and cooling systems. Each indoor unit runs on its own, so they fit rooms central air struggles with, like an addition or a hot upstairs bedroom. Gold Eagle is a Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Contractor.

How can you tell who made your system?

  • Look at the data plate on the outdoor unit and the indoor furnace or air handler. It lists the brand, model number and serial number.
  • Check the model number prefix, which often reveals the family even when the badge does not.
  • Pull out your warranty registration or original invoice, which names the brand and installer.

Can’t make sense of the plate? Show it to our technician on a service call and we will tell you what you have. Ready to compare replacements? Try Build Your Own System. Need help today? See AC repair or heating. Want fewer surprises? Join our Home Maintenance Plan.
