How Do I Keep Track of My Missions?
Print this Hero Log. Tick a box for each mission, write what you noticed, and ask a grown-up to sign your certificate.

Part 1: My missions
Do one mission a day, or a few on a weekend. Every mission is a look, listen and notice job. When you finish, tick the box. Want the full how-to for each one? See Missions.
| Done? Mission | What to do |
|---|---|
| Air Grille Check | Find the big air grille, on a hallway wall or ceiling, where the AC breathes in. Is anything in front of it, like furniture, toys or laundry? Move your own stuff away. |
| Warm Room Hunt | Walk through your home with a grown-up. Which room feels warmest? Which feels coolest? |
| Sweaty Cup | With a grown-up, fill a plastic cup with ice water. Wait about 10 minutes. Do drops form on the outside? See Cloud in a Glass. |
| Sunny Window Watch | Which windows get bright sun in the afternoon? Ask a grown-up about closing the curtains on hot days. |
| Door Detective | Notice if an outside door is left open while the heat or AC is running. Close it behind you, or remind your family. |
| Sound Listener | Sit still and listen when the heat or AC turns on. Do you hear a click? A whoosh of air? See House Sounds. If a sound is loud, new or strange, tell a grown-up. |
| Shade Spotter | Look out a window in the morning and again after lunch. Where is the shade? Did it move? See Shade Squad. |
| Number Reader | With a grown-up, look at the thermostat screen. What number does it show? Write it down. |
| Word Learner | Learn three words from Hero Words. Explain one to a grown-up. |
| Kind Neighbor | Make a card from Hello Cards. A grown-up helps you give it. |
Part 2: What I noticed
Write or draw what you found. You can use words, numbers or pictures. Hard word help: to notice means to see or hear something and think about it.
