Meet Wing Force: hero training for future techs

Wing Force are the heroes of our comics. Every one of them is based on a real job: the people who keep homes warm in winter and cool in summer. Want to be one someday? Your training starts here.

The real job behind every hero

Goldstrike

Goldstrike

In the comics: the leader. He beats villains with smart fixes, never with his fists.

In real life: a lead service technician. Great techs find the real cause of a problem and fix that, so the problem stays fixed.

Talon

Talon

In the comics: the eagle-eyed tech who shouts “Talon’s got a question!”

In real life: an installer. Installers put brand new heating and cooling systems into homes. They measure, check every connection and ask lots of questions before they call a job done.

Pure

Pure

In the comics: scans for trouble nobody else can see.

In real life: a building science tech. Instead of fixing one machine, they study the whole building: how air moves through it, where it leaks and how damp or dry it is inside. They use meters to measure, because measuring beats guessing!

Manny the Manufacturer

Manny the Manufacturer

In the comics: builds giant gear for every job.

In real life: engineers design heating and cooling machines, and factory teams build them, part by part.

Hero skills you can practice right now

  • Be curious. Ask “why?” and “how does that work?” every day.
  • Notice things. A new sound, a room that feels too warm, a drip that wasn’t there before. Tell a grown-up what you noticed.
  • Measure it. Use a thermometer to check which room is warmest. Write down what you find.
  • Practice math. Techs add, subtract, measure and read numbers all day long.
  • Work as a team. Wing Force wins together. So do real crews.
  • Safety first. Real techs follow safety rules every time. For now, look and learn, and leave the machines to the grown-ups.
  • Explain it. Teach someone at home one thing you learned, in your own words.

Your training missions

How do people become real techs?

  1. Keep learning in school. Science and math are a tech’s superpowers.
  2. Learn the trade. After high school, many people go to a trade school or start as a helper and learn on the job from experienced techs.
  3. Earn the certificates. Techs pass special tests, like the one that lets them safely handle the cooling liquid inside an AC, and in Texas they get licensed by the state.
  4. Never stop learning. Machines keep changing, so great techs keep training their whole career.
